Original fractal and raytrace images

Most (but not all) of the images here are original artworks by Dan Goldwater, and are copyrighted. You must receive permission from me to reproduce them in any way. There are some images by other authors. Those images are subject to whatever terms those authors specify.

Viewing notes
The images in this gallery will look very poor if your computer does not display thousands or millions of colors.

Images are available in three sizes: 240x180 (thumbnails), 800x600 (medium) and 1600x1200 (large). GIF, JPG, and TIF formats are used where appropriate. After entering a room in the gallery, click on the "Med" or "Lg" text in the gallery to view medium or large size images.

To enhance your viewing experience, I highly recommend dimming or turning off the lights in the room. Also if the contrast/brightness on your monitor is turned up so that black appears grey, turn it down until you get a pure black.

Information

I created most of the fractals in my gallery using Fractint. I created the newer raytraces with PovRay, and some of the older ones with Rayshade. All of these are free programs which I highly recommend to those interested in creating their own artwork. I am also the author of FracXtra, a package of utilities and extras files to enhance Fractint. Please see the links at the bottom of this page if you want to contact me.

Prints

Fine-art quality prints are available of some images in the gallery. Prints are produced from a custom-processed ultra-high resolution original and digitally printed on the highest quality fine-art printing systems available. Sizes below are representative only, actual print size and selection may vary. Contact me for availability or more information.
